Getting To Le Hameau

Whether you're coming from the north or south via the A9, or from Millau via the A75: Here are the most direct and fastest routes to follow to reach Hameau de l’Étoile.

  • IMPORTANT RECENT CHANGES: Coming from the north via the A9 motorway – Follow the A709 towards Montpellier (be careful not to miss this exit, otherwise you will go directly to Sète) – After the toll, take exit 28 towards Vendargues (D613) – After 1km follow the D65 towards Castries-Alès – Then at the second roundabout take the direction of Ganges (RD68) until Saint-Martin-de-Londres. Cette départementale appelée aussi “le LIEN” est assez récente et pas toujours mentionnée sur vos GPS, mais c’est la plus directe.
  • Coming from the south via the A9 motorway: Take the Agde exit, then Pézenas, pass Pézenas and follow the direction of Montpellier for a few kilometers. Then turn left towards Gignac, Aniane, and Saint-Martin-de-Londres (D32).
  • Coming from Millau via the A75: After Lodève, follow Montpellier (A750), then at Gignac exit the expressway towards Aniane / Viols le Fort / Saint-Martin-de-Londres (D32).
  • In Saint-Martin-de-Londres, go through the village and about 300 meters after the main square at the fountain, turn left opposite the restaurant "l'Accent du Sud" (formerly restaurant Les Muscardins or Le Coin Perdu), towards Causse de la Selle – Frouzet, D122. Drive for 5 km and you will see a stone wall and a sign on your right indicating "Le Hameau de l’Étoile" just before reaching Frouzet: You have arrived!
  • Coming from the airport, take the LIEN route that you can access at Vendargues: D68 then D986 until Saint-Martin-de-Londres.

Come to Montpellier by bus: https://flixbus.fr/ . From Paris Bercy, there are direct overnight trips to Montpellier for less than 40 euros, in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. Wifi and electrical outlets are available onboard. Discover many destinations to/from Montpellier, including Les Sabines on tram line 608, on their website.

To travel by local bus from Montpellier to Saint-Martin-de-Londres, take bus 608 from the Occitanie tram station. The journey takes between 20 minutes and 35 minutes depending on traffic and schedules. For all schedules, please visit: https://herault-transport.fr. Once you reach the Pharmacy stop in Saint-Martin-de-Londres, there is still a 4 km journey remaining to reach Hameau de l’Étoile (on the road towards Causse de la Selle). Hitchhiking works very well in this area.

Montpellier Airport (Fréjorgues) operates between 5 to 10 flights per day to Paris, with a flight time of approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Montpellier also offers direct flights to various destinations including Nantes, Brussels, Rennes, Lyon, Frankfurt, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Madrid, and Amsterdam. Get off at Montpellier station.
