Stage r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux teachers ayant fait le module 1 et inscrits dans la formation :<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nModule 3: Common Good<\/strong>\r\n\r\nHere we take what we know, what we're still learning, and make it an offering for others.\u00a0 This is about being skillful as we meet the world as a teacher, and includes:\r\n
    \r\n \t
  • How to include movement of the mind (thoughts, beliefs, imagination, etc) into your teaching<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Movement as meditation<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Movement as a gateway to soul and spirit<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Knowing your teaching style:\u00a0 how to make it your strength, how to stretch beyond it<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Build quality relations with individual students, colleagues, and the community at large<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Navigate the most common group dynamics a teacher encounters on the dance floor (resistance, power, sexuality, etc.)<\/li>\r\n \t
  • One on one live coaching as you practice your teaching skills<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Debrief your teaching experiences and get individual coaching re: difficult students and situations, creative challenges, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Build \"fluid authority\" and presence as you hold an unpredictable and wildly moving field<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n \r\n

    Mentors and apprentices are partners in an ancient human dance, and one of teaching's great rewards is the daily chance it gives us to get back on the dance floor.<\/em>\r\n\r\nIt is the dance of the spiraling generations, in which the old empower the young with their experience and the young empower the old with new life, reweaving the fabric of the human community as they touch and turn.\u201d<\/em>\r\n\r\n? Parker J. Palmer<\/em><\/blockquote>\r\nOpen Floor is a school dedicated to the common good through the study, practice, and teaching of embodied dance.\u00a0 The Founders of Open Floor (Andrea Juhan, Kathy Altman, Lori Saltzman and Vic Cooper) have taught thousands of students and trained hundreds of teachers over the past 35 years. Along with a seasoned, talented international team of Open Floor teachers, we are excited to pass on what we\u2019ve learned to the next generation of dance and movement leaders, as well as those in service to people in \"non-dance floor\" settings.\r\n\r\nConscious dance practices are flourishing all over the world -- the perfect and necessary medicine for our increasingly troubled and digitized planet. Open Floor is a movement school grounded in the principles and wisdom embedded in all healing movement practices, the common ground we all share. \u00a0Our goal is to offer a robust bag of skills for teaching creative, deep, enlightening and enlivening movement sessions wherever you go, no matter who you serve.\r\n\r\nOur training programs are for:\r\n

    • Current movement teachers who want to expand their skills<\/li>\r\n \t
    • Other professionals who know that movement skills will enrich their work, e.g., school teachers, social workers, recovery group leaders, corporate consultants, etc.<\/li>\r\n \t
    • Psychotherapists: The\u00a0Therapy in Motion\u00a0<\/strong>track is open to movement, art, drama and music therapists, psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists and mental health counselors from a variety of backgrounds.\u00a0 The program is for experienced therapists who want to integrate movement and dance into the therapeutic setting.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIn our teacher training, you can expect training and mentoring as you learn to:\r\n

      • Design an infinite variety of movement scores using universal movement principles<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Tend to our dancing bodies so we can dance forever<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Catalyze full, creative, exciting classes and events for people working with all ages and abilities<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Craft provocative and exciting soundscapes through music<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Include and attend to natural emotions that arise when we dance<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Develop emotional intelligence through mindfulness and movement<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Track thoughts, stories, and patterns that hold us back -- and turn them into creative fuel<\/li>\r\n \t
